Honorary President of the Global Nature Fund, Former Director of the Bodensee-Stiftung, awarded the German Federal Cross of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz)
Senior expert on nature conservation and biodiversity
Marion Hammerl has been Director of the Bodensee-Stiftung from 1998 until 2022. She is honorary president of the international environmental foundation Global Nature Fund (GNF) since 2002. She has been involved in nature conservation for more than 30 years and has co-founded several environmental organizations, including the Spanish Fundación Global Nature, of which she was honorary president from 1997 to 2015. In 2012 she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. Currently, Marion is contributing as a senior expert and member of the board of several organizations such as Fairtrade Germany and Food for Biodiversity.
